DRUGGS Ghana (Dedicated to Rational Use of Generics and Global Standards) is a youth-led NGO registered in Accra. We advance rational drug use, harm reduction, drug safety, and evidence-driven research through community-led programs and policy engagement.

Rational Drug Use

Training for prescribers, stewardship tools and community education aligned to WHO guidance to ensure safe and rational prescribing.

Harm Reduction & Safety

Youth-focused prevention, referral pathways, and harm-minimising outreach for at-risk communities.

Access to Essential Medicines

Advocacy for affordable quality generics and partnerships to strengthen local supply chains and pharmacy practice.

Research & Policy

Operational research, program evaluation and evidence-based policy recommendations for national stakeholders.

Public Health Education

School programs, peer educator networks and culturally appropriate media to build health literacy.

Community Empowerment

Local capacity building, advisory groups and participatory design to ensure interventions are community-owned.

Our Approach

We combine community engagement, youth leadership and scientific rigour. Projects are co-designed with stakeholders, measured for impact, and governed with transparency and accountability.

Simon is a pharmaceutical and public-health practitioner who founded DRUGGS Ghana to improve access to safe medicines and reduce harms associated with drug misuse. He leads strategy, partnerships and research oversight.
